The STIHL GTA 40 can also be used by trained arborists for pruning within the crown of a standing tree. Whether used for tree care in parks and gardens, crown correction work, drywall construction, interior fittings or roofing jobs, the GTA 40 impresses with its compact design, low weight and excellent balance for forward, backward and plunge cutting, as well as high cutting performance and long battery life. With the particularly powerful EC engine and STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain, you are equipped for clean cutting and fast progress. Speed-dependent automatic chain lubrication is another advantage of the STIHL GTA 40. To facilitate precise handling, the battery-powered garden pruner has an ergonomically shaped operating handle with hand guard and an upper grip point for the second hand. This is shaped in such a way as to prevent slipping as much as possible. The claw-shaped deflector mechanism attached to the front also visually and haptically separates the upper grip area from the cutting attachment. Further useful features of the GTA 40 include the mechanical operating system with rocker on both sides, variable chain speed, sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioning and LED charge-level indicator.
